Help programs of online marketplaces for stationary traders
Since mid-March 2020, stationary trade has been closed throughout Germany. Exceptions are shops serving the basic supply such as pharmacies or supermarkets. The latter are currently experiencing unprecedented sales volumes due to restaurants that are also closed and the trend towards general stockpiling. For the supply of all other goods, conusmers now have to rely on online trading even more than before. Stationary retailers who have already been active online can capture demand here and possibly compensate for part of the missing stationary sales. All others are now faced with the question of how they can participate in the growing online trade as quickly as possible. Online marketplaces offer an opportunity here, and many of them have reacted to the closures in stationary trading with specia measures. eStrategy Consulting has compiled an overview of the relevant programmes, which is continually updated.
